What Your Support Covers
Every sponsored hive represents a complete setup and a full year of care for our bees. Each one requires the following equipment and upkeep to keep colonies healthy, productive, and protected.
Your support helps cover:
- Live Bee Package: 3 lbs of bees and their queen, enough to start one thriving hive. ~$165-200 each
- Hive equipment: deep & medium boxes, bottom board, lid, and feeder. ~$200–250 per hive
- Frames & foundation: over 35 frames that hold brood and honey. ~$50–60 per hive
- Protective components: queen excluder, entrance reducer, and winter cover. ~$40–50 per hive
- Seasonal maintenance & feed: supplements, treatments, and replacement parts. ~$50–75 per hive
Frequently Asked Questions
When will my hive be installed?
Hives will be purchased in Winter of 2025/2026 and established in Spring 2026.
Can I visit my hive?
We’ll host open apiary days so you can see your hive in person.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
We’re not a nonprofit, unfortunately is is not tax-deductible. Every dollar goes directly toward hive costs and bee care!
How will I get updates?
We’ll send email updates throughout the season with photos and progress.
